Moving: Part 1

We drove down to Salt Lake and got there just in time for Chad to take the shuttle to the airport from the Park 'N Jet. (Chad actually got on the same flight as Bryce, who was headed to San Francisco for a work conference!) It was just getting dark. We left the truck and trailer parked there, and I drove the boys down to Erin's. I hate driving in Salt Lake/Provo, but we made it without incident. Thank goodness.

Chad flew to Sacramento where Kyle picked him up. He was planning on getting some driving in today, but he decided to sleep at Kyle's and leave first thing in the morning. (Thanks Kyle and Jess!) I'm jealous that Chad got to see Heather and Kyle's new house, but I'm not jealous that he got to drive from Sacramento to Salt Lake by himself. He stopped in Elk Grove to say hello to his brother, and then got on his way.

Charlie, Russell and I visited with Erin.

Charlie, Addie and Hazel having a bath.

Playing marbles.

Erin gave Russell a bath. He needed one…
The boys had already left for school. One last picture with the girls.

Saying goodbye to Erin and her family was easily the hardest part about moving. It has been fun to visit them and hang out when we could manage it. Thanks for always having us Charlie loved playing with his cousins. 4 hours was a long drive, but 4 days is a lot longer! We will miss them!

We left Friday morning to meet Evan at the SLC airport. Somehow we roped him into driving the moving truck back to CT so Chad and I could ride together. He got the shuttle to the Park 'N Jet, we switched the Avalon with Leonard. We left Leonard at the Park N Jet, and off we went! (Bryce picked Leonard up when he got home from his business trip the next day, and drove him back to Erin's.)

I'm so cute.
Checking out the big rig.
Getting the Avalon loaded and ready to go.
Stealing Uncle Evan's snacks.

Of course, we had to stop for food and gas before we left, but by Friday afternoon, we were headed out of Utah.

Stickers in his Happy Meal.
