Leaving Idaho

On Wednesday, October 22nd, we got up bright and early with the intention of packing up, cleaning up and moving out. Chad was supposed to be flying to Sacramento to drive the Avalon back to Salt Lake and switch it with Leonard. Erin was supposed to be selling Leonard for us, since we didn't think it was reasonable to expect us to get that done in a day and a half. He was supposed to catch a 2:00 flight out of SLC but we hadn't even picked up the car trailer at the UHaul by noon. It was an incredibly hectic morning. The last little bit of packing always takes about a thousand times longer than you thought it was going to. I didn't even get a chance to feed Russell all morning - I had to ditch him with my neighbor while we went to get the UHaul trailer - he was pretty miserable by the time we left.

Charlie kept busy while we packed by playing the iPad and snuggling with his blanket. It was a chilly morning!

We took some pictures with our neighbors and said goodbye.

We called Southwest and got Chad switched to a later flight so we could take our time getting there. We stopped at McDonald's (the first of many stops at McDonald's) on our way out of town.
Connecticut Monopoly piece!
Then we got on the road. I drove the boys in the Subaru while Chad drove the moving truck with Leonard on the trailer.

So long, Pocatello!
