Music to drive you crazy

Hello everyone - this is something I heard in my music literature class a couple of semesters ago. It's an interesting insight in the music world.

This is what opera is supposed to mimic. I think I showed this to Mollie but now you all get to hear it! It begins kind of weird, but it settles into an NPR-type interview. Enjoy.

It is really long and I have children screaming. I listened to about the first 4 minutes. And is it just me or as soon as that lady started talking did you think she was crazy? Even the first time they played the sentence it sounded awfully "sing-songy." I think her "music" made her go crazy.

I tried to listen to it the other night but it was too long. I just got done listening to it now and I thought it was quite fascinating. Be sure to speak Mandarin to your children so they will all have perfect pitch!
