Vacation

We are in Connecticut visiting my family! So far we have done/visited:

• church, twice
• Memorial Day church picnic
• Memorial Day Parade
• chased down the ice cream truck
• Mystic Aquarium
• Shops at Mystic
• Mark Twain House 
• Gillette Castle
• ice cream by the Goodspeed Opera House
• Target, Walmart, Bob's, XPect, KMart, McDonald's, Stop & Shop, Taco Bell, ABC Pizza, Marshall's, The Music Score, Hallmark, Post Office, CitGo, Dairy Plus, Dollar Tree, Dairy Queen
• checked out books from the Cromwell library
• helped (my brother) Evan move into his new apartment

It has been raining on and off for the last few days, so our plans have been put on hold. It has been fun to visit old places and friends and introduce Charlie to Connecticut. He likes it here - he told me the other day as he was falling asleep. His vocabulary is quite advanced for a 6 month old. ;o)

In case you are wondering, he was AWESOME on the plane. He slept on the first flight (4 hours - SLC to Baltimore) for all but about 20 minutes. We let him play on the floor for the length of the layover (about an hour and a half). And he slept on the second flight (about 1 hour - Baltimore to Bradley).

*For all of you blog stalkers out there, Chad's brother Christian is staying at the house, our neighbors are keeping an eye on the yard, and 2 other families stop by to help take care of the dog. And we have an alarm system that takes picture of the movement in the house. So don't even think about it!
