I know I have been neglecting my blog, but things have been busy.
Well - that and when I have time to do nothing, I want to do nothing. Like today.
Meanwhile, student teaching is picking up and so far I'm enjoying it.
Also - I wish there was more we could do for Haiti.
The end.

Have you had your first observation day? There was an article in the paper about the band director in Canton who built the music program there from nothing into a nationally award-winning band. I meant to save the article for you but I think it got thrown out. Try googling "Canton band". Too bad you couldn't have student taught with him! Maybe you could come home after graduation for a while and just go sit in on his classes. You might pick up a tip or two.
Mom - I just tried to look up that guy - and if it's Thomas Scavone, I'm pretty sure he was the director of the 8th grade regional band when Mollie and I were in it.
if that IS the guy, yeah he was!!! WEIRD!
that's all.
I just looked up the story online and that's who it was so you already have a connection with him! I think you should contact him and ask about observing his class since you will be out of school long before the high schools here get out.
Sister Kramer tells me they're planning to cut a music teacher at the middle school. Not a good time for the arts.
