Halloween!

We took the requisite trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out our victims. Every year, we buy pumpkins to carve and then we never do because we either run out of time, or I get too attached to them.

Chad was not going to let that happen this year! I think they came out pretty good!

We thought Charlie might like sticking his hands in the goop inside the pumpkin, but he wouldn't touch it. 

This year we decided to do another family costume. Charlie was Fix-It Felix from "Wreck It Ralph", Chad was Ralph, and I was Vanellope. This is one of Charlie's favorite movies. And he made the cutest Felix!

We went over to the ward Trunk or Treat and then drove around looking for something fun to do. There isn't much to do on Halloween night. We didn't want to take Charlie actual trick-or-treating because he's still just a bit too young to care about candy, which would mean we were just pushing him door to door for our own benefit. We're at least a year away from that. ;o)

Mom sent us yummy sugar cookies, as usual. We thought the new food regulations (or proposed regulations?) on partially hydrogenated oils might be the end of Crisco, and thus the end of mom's sugar cookies, so we made sure to get a picture of Charlie enjoying one.
